Anyone aged 18 or over who holds a WeGolden account and is located in a country WeGolden supports. You do not need to deposit funds or place a single trade to enter. One entry per person per week is permitted, and entries from multiple accounts belonging to the same person are removed.

WeGolden can only operate the competition in the countries where it is licensed to offer services. The list is maintained centrally and can change, so eligibility is confirmed when you submit rather than assumed from your browsing location. If your country is not currently supported you can still read the rules and browse previous results.

Yes. The account is how your entry is linked to you, how duplicate entries are prevented and how a reward is credited if you win. Creating an account is free and does not require a deposit.

No. The competition is skill-based and free to enter. No deposit, no funded account and no trading activity is required at any point — including to receive a reward.

No. One entry per person per week. Where several accounts are found to belong to the same person, all of that person's entries for the week are disqualified.

A new round opens every Monday and closes at 5:00 PM on Thursday, New York time. The official price is then captured after the Friday cutoff. The exact deadline for the current round, with a countdown and your own local time, is shown on the home page.

All competition times use the America/New_York time zone. That means the deadline stays at 5:00 PM New York across daylight saving changes rather than shifting with a fixed UTC offset. Every deadline on this site is shown both in New York time and in your own local time.

The submission timestamp is the moment your entry is completely received, not the moment you started uploading. An upload that finishes after the deadline is late and is not eligible. Large files take time, so start well before the cutoff.

No. Once submitted, neither the forecast price nor the video can be changed. This is what makes the forecast a genuine commitment made before the outcome is known.

A single XAU/USD spot price in US dollars per troy ounce, to a maximum of two decimal places. Not a direction, not a range — one number, which is compared against the official price captured after the Friday cutoff.

The official price is the midpoint of WeGolden's own bid and ask at the Friday cutoff, rounded to two decimal places: (bid + ask) ÷ 2. A midpoint is used so that no participant gains an advantage by forecasting toward one side of the spread. The bid, ask, midpoint, capture time and source are published with each result.

Your difference is the absolute distance between your forecast and the official price, so direction does not matter. If that distance is USD 30.00 per ounce or less, your forecast is eligible for a reward. A forecast further out remains a valid entry but cannot win.

If the market is closed at the scheduled cutoff, the official price is captured at the next available cutoff. Where a holiday is known in advance, the change is announced before the entry deadline.

The week moves to a price exception. A pre-declared fallback source is used, and results stay paused rather than being published provisionally until the price is verified. The week remains in the public history with that status.

Ten minutes. The competition rewards reasoning, not a number guessed on camera, so the video needs enough room to show how you reached your forecast. There is no maximum.

Yes, throughout the video. This is how entries are tied to a real, identifiable participant and how duplicate or automated submissions are ruled out.

Yes. Record in whatever language you think in. English subtitles are required so the analysis can be reviewed and so the wider community can follow it.

Yes. An entry without English subtitles cannot be reviewed and is disqualified, regardless of how close the forecast turns out to be.

You may use AI tools to research, as you would any other source. You may not submit an AI-generated voice, an AI-generated avatar or an analysis authored by a model. The video must be you, presenting your own reasoning.

No. Referral links, affiliate codes, sponsorships and third-party advertising are not permitted anywhere in the video, the audio or the subtitles.

Up to three each week. The three eligible forecasts closest to the official price each receive a USD 200 reward, credited to the winner's WeGolden account.

Only the qualifying forecasts are rewarded. If one forecast finishes within USD 30.00/oz, one reward is issued. If none do, no reward is issued that week and nothing carries over to the next round.

The lower difference ranks higher. If two forecasts have an identical difference, the entry submitted earlier ranks higher.

The reward is credited to your WeGolden account after the result is final and identity verification is complete. The conditions attached to the credited amount are set out in the Official Rules.

Only if you are in line to receive a reward. Entering the competition does not require verification; receiving a reward does, so that WeGolden can confirm you are one person, of age, and in an eligible country.

Common video containers such as MP4 and MOV, with H.264 or H.265 video. Subtitles are accepted as SRT or VTT, or burned into the picture. The submission form in the customer portal lists the exact formats accepted at the time you upload.

The current limit is shown in the submission form. If your file is larger, re-export at a lower bitrate rather than cutting the analysis short — 1080p at a moderate bitrate is more than enough.

Yes. Uploads are resumable within the same submission session. An interrupted upload does not create a second entry.

The portal shows a confirmed submission with its timestamp, and you receive a confirmation message. If you do not see a confirmed submission, your entry has not been received.

Your display name, your avatar if you set one, your country, your video and your forecast once the week is locked, and your result. Your legal name, email address, phone number, account identifier and any verification documents are never published.

No. You keep ownership of your video. By entering, you grant WeGolden a licence to publish and promote it in connection with the competition. The scope of that licence is set out in the Official Rules.

WeGolden may trim, subtitle or excerpt your video for publication and may repost it on its own channels in connection with the competition. It will not be altered in a way that misrepresents your analysis or your forecast.

Yes. Contact support with your request. Removal from public display is honoured; a record that the entry existed is retained where it forms part of the competition result, so the published history stays accurate.

The most common reasons are a video under 10 minutes, a mismatch between the forecast in the form and the forecast in the video, missing English subtitles, a late submission or promotional content. The specific reason is shown on your entry in the customer portal.

Open the appeal form from your entry in the customer portal during the appeal window that follows publication of the provisional results. Appeals submitted after the window closes cannot be considered.

Provisional results are published first, then reviewed. Results become final once the appeal window has closed and every appeal has been decided. The dates for the current round are shown on the week's page.
